Entre Comunidad: Healing Together

Hola! Welcome! It's chisme and cafecito time! This is a free virtual event via zoom. Our plática will be centered around our family’s stories of resilience and community support. Bring your own pan dulce, cafecito, or comfort snack. We will be practicing a tradition from our cultura together while we share our family’s stories. This event is open for everyone who identifies as Latine, Mexican, Chicanx...etc. and for allies.

Chisme is the creation of connection and the sharing of stories, resources, and support. Therapists and hosts Deyanira Cavazos, LPC and Zamanda Martinez, LPC will facilitate and provide support. These events are being created to help our community create safe spaces due to the violence and trauma we are facing. We're so excited to see you there, nos vemos pronto!

Entre Amigas Book Club

Hola! Welcome to the Entre Amigas Book Club. A virtual book club for Latinas where we read books written by Latine (a,x,o) authors. If you're looking for a community of mujeres who you can talk about books with, we would love for you to join. Community is healing and in this book club we're going to be reading books related to topics of mental health and experiences we share as a community. We'll be reading self-help, poetry, fiction, and non-fiction books.

  • Book Club meetings will take place during the spring to summer once every 2 months (February, April, June, August) on Fridays at 7:30pm. Open to anyone 18+

  • You can read some of these books by purchasing them new, used, borrowing from your library, borrowing from the Libby App, or through Spotify.

  • Cost: $5.50

You can bring coloring books, paint supplies, drawing materials, crochet supplies, scrap booking materials, your journal, or any other supplies you’d like to use to self-care together.
